My name is Ana Laura Ramos, I am the representative of the Agrupación Intolerantes a lactosa Uruguay. For a time now, La Agrupación has been proudly taking great strides. When we started working in 2014, there were no more than 20 lactose-free or partially lactose-free products in our market. Today the list is already widely exceeded. In 2016, we received the best news of all, after hard work and various internal efforts. The production and free sale of lactase capsules was authorized in Uruguay. And we are very proud of this great achievement. There are real needs and problems that only those of us who live with this disease, together with our families. We know the true meaning of being “lactose intolerant in Uruguay”.
Therefore … with dedication, responsibility and a great effort. Day by day we put our grain of sand. Purely and exclusively focused on the Association continuing to grow, in every sense with great force. Bringing patients and family closer, as much information as possible and greater accessibility to products, especially in the interior of the country. We know that this Project is built among all! We are 1,314,525 Uruguayans and Uruguayans Lactose Intolerant. And that way we go. We invite all who want to come to our Association, share experiences, make inquiries, we are at your service! “I’m not saying it will be easy, I’m saying it will be worth it!”
